How to Donate Your Technology Here 

1. Do a Factory Reset of Your Device

To make sure your data is safe and your phone is usable for us please ensure that your phone/tablet/laptop is factory reset. This varies from machine to machine, but you can usually find out how to do this in your ‘Settings’. If your device is an Apple one, make sure to remove iCloud too.

2. Fill in the Form Below

This will give us your details and the details of the device you are donating. We shouldn’t need to contact you, but we might need to if there’s a problem. You don’t need to give your details to the people at the drop off point.

When you complete the form and tick the donation declaration you will get an email with the reference number. This is the number that we use to identify your donation. If you don’t get the email please check your spam.

3. Wrap Your Donation

If you have a plastic bag and some sticky tape this is ideal. But if you don’t have these don’t worry, the Drop-Off Point will have some sticky bags or larger bags. Please remember to include a charger if you have it. Put your reference number and initials only on the outside of the bag using a permanent marker.

4. Drop Your Donation at the Drop Off Point

Drop your donation in with the Drop Off Point, making sure the reference number is clearly visible on the wrapping.

    By donating my device for refurbishment by Solidaritech CIC, I confirm that: (1) I am either the owner of the computer system or device or a duly authorised representative of the owner; (2) I have removed any data (and the SIM card) from this device and understand that if there is any data left on the device this will be deleted or destroyed by Solidaritech CIC in accordance with their Data Destruction Policy and in no event will Solidaritech CIC be able to provide copies or back-ups of any data; and (3) Solidaritech CIC will refurbish this device, including re-formatting and where appropriate re-installing operating systems (using the embedded OEM licence key).

    I acknowledge and accept that Solidaritech CIC will accept no responsibility in relation to the security, protection, confidentiality or use of any data on my device and it is my responsibility to ensure that all data is removed from the device prior to sending it to Solidaritech CIC. Solidaritech CIC will not be responsible or liable for loss or misuse of any data, software, or hardware on or related to the device.
